Netease Youdao Announces Free Online Courses for Primary and Middle School Students in Wuhan

NetEase Inc. (Nasdaq: NTES) online education arm, Youdao Inc. (NYSE: DAO) announced on its offical Weibo today that the winter vacation online course will be provided to primary and middle school students in Wuhan free of charge form now on.

On Thursday, the Government of Hubei Province issued a circular on the prevention and control of the SARS-like virus, according to its website.  The notice stated that the colleges, primary schools, and kindergartens in the province had postponed the start of the new school term. 

The Chinese e-learning platform rang the opening bell on the New York Stock Exchange in October last year and reported its revenue has nearly doubled from a year ago to $48.4 million in the third quarter of 2019.
